How to make Ranch housefly trap

Materials Needed:

Mosquito net

Gauze wire

Pliers

Scissors

Sewing needle and thread

Plastic bowl

Stale rotten fruits

Instructions:

Using pliers, create two hoops of the same diameter using the gauze wire. One hoop will hold the plastic bowl, and the other will be a smaller ring.

Cut the mosquito net to match the size of the two hoops. Sew the ends of the net together, and then drape the net over the hoops, following the configuration shown in the picture. Secure the net to the hoops by stitching it in place.

Use the gauze wire to suspend the trap by attaching it to a hook. Position the plastic bowl beneath the trap, using a hoop and more gauze wire to hold it in place.

Place some rotten fruits in the plastic bowl as bait for the houseflies. Hang the trap in areas where there is a high concentration of flies.

The flies will be attracted to the scent of the rotten food and will enter the trap through the narrow opening, trying to escape. However, they will ultimately become trapped inside the closed chamber. Over time, the flies will die due to starvation.

Once the trap is full, dispose of the captured flies by emptying them through the narrow opening of the trap. You can then reuse the trap by setting it up again.
